Once I started taking my painting seriously I told myself I had to enter the Summer Exhibition every year! When I started entering, hopeful  artists took their entries up to London and each one was judged by a panel and either rejected or shortlisted. I always had one shortlisted but it was 2013 before one was hung. 2013 was the last year that submissions were judged at the Royal Academy  after that the initial judging was by by internet images. I failed to get through again until this year and happily I was both shortlisted and hung. I've also had work hung in  the Mall Gallery in The Society of Women Artists Exhibitions. In 2015 the Candida Stevens Gallery asked me to take part in their Good Figures exhibition, this premiered at the Mall Galleries and then went on to The Downland Jerwood Gridshell in West Sussex.
